How to fix the setACL error within TimeClick

Although this error may seem scary, it actually has a pretty simple fix. In fact, it’s the exact same as one of our basic troubleshooting errors called Version Mismatch.

The cause is simple, the TimeClick version on the current computer isn’t matching the TimeClick versions on the other computers. To find your version:

  1. Open TimeClick
  2. Look in the top left hand corner of the software
  3. Notice the version number
  4. Example: 21.0.2.0

Once you get that version number:

  1. Go to TimeClick.com/download
  2. Find the relevant version
  3. Click the drop down
  4. Select the relevant patch number
  5. Select either Server or Client accordingly
  6. Download/Install the software.
