Upgrade to TimeClick 2018

Setup takes fewer than 15 minutes

Note: These instructions are for upgrading from LE 16LE 12, or LE SP1

  • During the installation process your current database will be copied and imported into TimeClick 2018
  • Once the installation is complete the two programs will have the same data, but moving forward they will act as two separate programs
  • An employee clocking into one version will not affect the other
  • Your current version of TimeClick will remain functional
  • If you'd like to test TimeClick 2018 before fully upgrading, we recommend waiting to upgrade your workstations until you're ready for employees to begin using the new version
  • System Requirements: Windows 7 or Newer (7, 8, 10, Server 2008, 2012, 2016, etc), 1 GB Hard Disk Space, and 4 GB or more RAM is recommended.

First, Upgrade the TimeClick Server

  1. Click the Download Server Upgrade button
  2. Once downloaded, run the install file
  3. Install TimeClick
    Note: When prompted during the installation,
    choose to convert your Legacy Database.
    This will transfer your data to the upgraded program.
  4. Verify your information was transferred correctly
  5. Unregister your old TimeClick
    This step will disable your old TimeClick, so only perform it when you are ready to register TimeClick 2018

    1. Open your old TimeClick
    2. Enter Administration Mode
    3. Select Utilities
    4. Select Transfer Key
    5. Select Unregister Now
    6. Write your Transfer Key down
  6. Register TimeClick 2018
    (This step must be done within 14 days of upgrading)
    Open TimeClick and select Days Left on Your Trial button on the upper right.Choose your license size and press I've Already Purchased TimeClickTake note of your Serial Number and send an email to support@timeclick.com with the following information:

    1. Your Serial Number
    2. Your Company Name
    3. Your Company Phone Number
    4. Your Transfer Key (obtained in Step 5)

    A TimeClick Support Representative will respond with your Registration Code within the next 24 hours.

    Alternatively, if you’d like to schedule a time for us to remote onto your computers and assist with the upgrade, please send an email to support@timeclick.com with a date and time on which you'd like to be contacted.

Download Server Upgrade

Upgrade TimeClick on Additional Computers

  1. Click the Download Workstation Upgrade button
  2. Once downloaded, run the install file
  3. Install TimeClick
