Can you believe it? January has ended and we’re already a month into 2022. With that said, the month of February brings only one federal holiday to speak of: Presidents’ Day.
The United States’ federal government will observe Presidents’ Day on Monday, February 21, 2022. As in a similar fashion with other federally observed holidays, government employees and agencies will not open for business.
Everything from courts to even the New York Stock Exchange will close. Remember: federal holidays do not mean federal mandates to close for business.
You will likely observe most, if not all private businesses and companies operating as normal.
Presidents’ Day Observance
Though government employees will get to enjoy the day off, this particular federal holiday may not impact your day too much. The observance of Presidents’ Day is fully optional and does not necessarily need to be observed.
While other federal holidays may warrant a relevant event or small workplace celebration, Presidents’ Day may just represent a day for you and your team to reflect on the blessings of our country’s democracy.
