TimeClick is a network software solution. This means all the data is stored locally on your network. When requesting or manipulating a lot of data TimeClick may freeze and display a message saying the program is not responding similar to the message below.
This message generally appears when an administrator is running a report or modifying an employee’s time record because these actions require the most computer resources to perform.
What is the Solution?
In most cases, a lack of systems resources causes the problem. First close the program, and then restart the computer. Restarting the computer will free up any unused resources on your computer allowing TimeClick to perform the requested action. If restarting the computer doesn’t resolve the issue try to perform the same action (running a report or modifying a time) on another computer that has TimeClick. This will help determine if the problem is isolated to one computer or if it is a problem across the network. If the same issue occurs on the other computers go to the TimeClick server and restart that computer.
Another problem that will cause this error to appear is a lack of hard drive space. While this is a rare occurrence, if you do not have enough free hard disk space, TimeClick will not be able to perform certain operations since those functions require the use of hard drive space.
